Congratulations to Jeanne Rief, one of
five recipients inducted into the Okaloosa County Women's Hall of Fame.
Jeanne was presented the Contemporary Award for her leadership in the
community. She is Marketing Director with the NW FL Daily
News. She is past President of our chapter as well as previous 1990 Woman of the Year with our
chapter.
This event was held at the Niceville Community Center Aug.
22, 2006. There were nine nominees for this award. The other
four inductees were, Dr. Jenny Fortune, Pamela Meadow, Susan Kneller, and Bernadette Clements Sims.
Her boss and Publisher, Tom Connor of the NW FL Daily newspaper, said, "If halls of fame exist to recognize overall excellence, then Okaloosa's own Women's Hall of Fame would be incomplete without Jeanne
Rief" and he added, "She's great at her job, unselfish with her time
and talent, and is civic minded almost to a fault. On top of that, she's a lovely, kind and caring person, a true all
star." |

dear friend, presented Jeanne with a gorgeous
